Awesome no need to say anything else.
Awesome no need to say anything else.
I am baffled as to how anyone got this app working. I have tried every single trouble shooting option available and now matter what I do my logic pro does not show up on the same network. Very dissapponting app.
It’s cool on paper but needs to be able to zoom out to see all the tracks. With more updates this could be cool
I'd give it 5 stars if it made the tuner available.
Amazingly responsive and useful app for indie artists.
This app has never worked. Had for several months. Does not connect to my computer.
So far so good Connectivity issues are intermittent but workable. Will update
I wish Logic Pro worked as good as this app does. Love this app, can’t stand the software it interacts with. I’ve lost hours of work on Logic multiple times due to it freezing. Even during those problem, this app remained the only thing stable.
The best MIDI controller for Logic is your iPad and Logic Remote App. I can easily see my aux/bus sends, efx inserts, adjust volume/pan, makes automation easier and faster, I can adjust some plugin and software synth settings, etc. It’s also great for going through presets on software synths. I load this app every time I load Logic. Couldn’t imagine using Logic without it.
Incredible app. I don’t own an iPad, so iPhone only: If they add smart controls, remix fx control, & a way to control punch-in and punch from the inspector on iphone it’ll be perfect. 🙏🏾
I don’t have WiFi at my studio and can’t get it to work via personal hotspot, works fine via direct USB
This app with a pro ipad let you have an entire studio controller right on the ipad. I frequently use this with my iMac to control my faders faster.
This app is really convenient when it wants to work, which is about 50% of the time there’s no indication as it was wrong because sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t have a firewall or anything like that.
Great idea, but even with an new m4 iPad I had crashes glitches and a bad experience. I’ll stick to logic desktop, this one is an Apple miss.
Updated my MacBook M2, and my iPad Pro to the newest operating system and now it doesn’t work. It worked fine, but now I no longer works.
Always auto connects my phone to my computer when logic is open, I hardly ever use this just want the option to so this just seems like it drains my phone battery and idk how to turn it off, I don’t think you can.
I don’t understand. The description says the developer is APPLE. I used this app on by iPad to connect to my MacBook to operate Garage Band. So, I go to work, get used to the product, and out of the blue, stupid happens. The app on my iPad and my MacBook don’t want to talk to each other. In fact, Logic Remote won’t even acknowledge my Mac or Garage Band exist. Uninstall, reinstall, uninstall, reinstall, reboot, reboot. Why?? It gets boring after the third, fourth, and fifth occurrence. What’s your problem developers? Time passes quickly and I have things to get done.
Bro you better disconnect
Clean, easily readable graphical interface replete with metering for most every channel and buss. This app is wonderfully navigable by mere intuition, with immediate responsiveness from users’ touch input on the iOS device they’re running it on, makes Apple Logic Remote an absolute joy to use, especially while away from the host computer’s display, keyboard and mouse. ‘Use it mostly while entering musical notes into Logic Pro from a beefy 88-key hammer action Akai controller keyboard some distance away from the Mac. Kudos, Apple!
Please continue to improve on this great app. I would love to see the timeline scrub feature moved from the top under the transport menu to the very bottom. Having it up there has my hand covering the tracks, making it harder to see. Also, please give the option to hide track numbers at the bottom of the mixer view since they rarely match with the Logic tack or mixer numbers. And lastly, adding more detailed plugin UI like you did with the track EQ. I did find a bug where adding or moving a plugin to another slot causes it to disappear while it’s really still there. Selecting another track fixes it.
Make iOS Logic Remote to control Logic Pro on other iOS devices. This would allow features like control mixer from one iOS device while recording or tinkering on another iOS just as users can do with Mac computers.
The fretboard play surface for midi input has only ten frets, and there’s no work around. One would think that because the instrument is digital they could have a scrollable 24 fret interface, or at least 12. Shoot, even 11 frets might kind of make sense given that the twelfth fret is an octave of the open string and can therefore be easily accounted for. But 10 frets? What a weird and limiting choice. It almost feels like a joke someone decided to play on musicians. Just a weird awkward choice. There’s no way to expand or scroll the fretboard or any alternative fretboards to download. Nope. Just ten frets for everyone forever. Seriously, why? And why am I the only person online who seems to be baffled and stultified by this?
I start a new project in logic, make two tracks. Look at remote. The first track, named “HS” in logic, is called Preview 1 in remote. Add a second track, pull in audio for it. Suddenly this new track gets labeled Preview 1, and remote won’t show me the first track. Did this get tested at all? 2024 still bugs! I start the playback and then the stop button doesn't work! Why?
I started using Logic Remote a couple of days ago as the input for MIDI instruments. It works perfectly, automatically connecting and disconnecting as I start and quit GB on my Mac. No lag, maybe aided by connecting my iPad with a cable. Mac Studio M2 Max, Sonoma 14.5 iPad Air 3rd generation, iPad iOS 17.5.1 Lightning/USB-A cable via USB-A/USB-C adapter to USB-C port
7 stars amazing functions and connection is strong
Always disconnecting randomly even just now while being wired to my Mac Pro uninstalled and factory reset my iPad Pro and still having same issue I know it’s not my network because everything else is working perfectly fine only when I use Logic Remote I’m having issues
I was hoping to use this app to eliminate having to run back and forth from the control. Not just recording but to help check my levels too. Which works as long as you only want to check levels on one single track. Using this on my iPhone only one fader (plus the master which is useless) shows and there is no way to select another track. Why not??? It made this app completely useless for me. There are other issues with how it handles the timeline and not being able to scroll and start at different points in the song when in the mixer mode. Just basic things that should he a no brainer in my opinion. I’ve been a Logic user since version 4 (way before apple) and was hoping this app would be a good “remote” but it’s not, at least for me.
Just gets better. Like boobies
Just got this for my iPad to use with GarageBand and I’m really impressed! Pretty much everything I want for editing stuff while using GarageBand feels great on a touch screen. The only thing I don’t like is that for some reason guitar pedals have been omitted from the app for some reason. I’m a guitar and bass player so I love using all of the different amps available. Those are all there but the more precise controls and knobs for the amps themselves that can be accessed on Mac can’t be accessed on this app. Nor can the pedals. I find this rather odd and disappointing because I love experimenting with the different effects I can get with all of them. Think of it, placing the pedals on the pedal board, tapping them to turn them on, making fine adjustments to the knobs would be easy, and using the whammy pedals by rubbing your finger over them would feel a lot better than clicking and dragging your finger over a touchpad or using a mouse on a computer. I’ve looked at the smart help guide on the app and there is a page for pedals but it only gives directions for using them on Mac. Hopefully they add it because being able to do everything via the companion app would make things even more seamless.
Back in the day, it would take a lot of equipment to do with this app is doing these channel strips has full control over logic Pro 11. This is just fantastic when it comes to remote work and having hands on experience I’ve been doing this for four years and I follow logic update, when it used to be E-magic should I say anymore?
This works perfectly. Gotta have
recording yourself has never been easier
I started using Logic Remote a few years ago to help with a few things during drum recordings, and it was such a huge relief to have. Unfortunately that’s not the case anymore. Most of the features in the app still work fine, such as the shortcut keys, but I see the mixer window has been completely blacked out from the app. I’m unsure if it’s a bug, or I don’t have a setting turned on but not being able to adjust levels on the fly is what is making this app unusable for me and most of the people on here. I hope it gets fixed, or someone can show me a way to fix it, but until then I cannot give this app more than two stars.
You’d imagine running the latest version of Logic on the latest M3 Max MacBook Pro , running the latest Mac OS would make using this a no brainer…..wishful thinking…..smh.
Logic Remote has been a game changer for me!
Please add smart controls to iPhone app
For some reason, it only connects with garage band. I can’t find Logic Pro anywhere on my MacBook Air. Works well with GB though
Worked well for several years, recently( Sonoma) started having connection issues then as of march 2024 no connection. went through trouble shooting. Unresolved. Have been relying on ipad pro - macbook pro. - logic pro my bad. Not sure what to do but a rethink overdue
Dope
The Logic Remote app is amazing but useless if using another MIDI control surface (such as keyboard or a Faderport) as Logic Pro on Mac hangs unresponsive. Not happy as I bought a new iPad Pro for this purpose.
I’ve been a logic user since Logic Pro 8. Its way beyond any other DAW, offering its users exceptional quality in its interface, options and capabilities. This App is no different.
Feels like emancipation for song writers, I rediscovered my love for musical innovation at sixty six thanks to Logic Pro!
I didn’t know this existed until recently. I’d call it Logic Controller so it pops up when searching midi controller apps. This is better than any of those. The app makes it easy for me to hit record when I’m tracking drums alone. I also appreciate the grid layout midi pads. I can play finger drums with them, & they’re velocity sensitive too. Regarding those, I would suggest being able to edit what midi note they output so I don’t need to reroute on the computer. Other than that, it’s far above anything else I’ve tried.
I have yet to finish a session where Logic Remote hasn’t lost connection to the computer, and every time it does this, it won’t reconnect instantly. I typically have to end the session and revisit another day.
Very helpful to be able to record while not on top of the computer. Also the listen to the audio adjust audio away from the speakers. A must have tool when working on my music.
Works great!!!! One man gang in the studio
I purchased a new iPad to use as my Logic Remote but it won’t connect at all. What a waste.
Logic Remote is clutch I can record sessions in bed now 🔥🔥🔥 it would be dope to be able to see the actual playlists track that way we can make addition edits like fades and and slices
I’ve been using this on my phone and iPad for 10 years and it’s always been stable and reliable! I’m a drummer so recording myself has never been easier!!!
